During lockdown I started doing some freelance illustration commissions and it became part of my daily routine. In each of the maps I drew I aimed not to create a realistic depiction of a landscape, but to create a sense of place, that these are places that can be explored and lived in. In the same way books can take us somewhere when we can't go there ourselves, I aim to evoke a similar feeling in my work.
My name is Keir Scott-Schrueder, I'm a first year student.
